Dr. Suvorit S Bhowmick
Neurologist, Specialist in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders
MD (Medicine), DM (Neurology), Specialty Certified (FRCP, UK) Fellowship in Movement Disorders (University of Toronto, Canada)

Dr. Suvorit S Bhowmick is a Neurologist who specializes in the management of Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders. He was a Fellow of the University of Toronto (Canada) in 2019-2020. There he received training under the mentorship of the world-leading experts in the field of Movement Disorders. These are neurological disorders with either excess or paucity of voluntary and automatic body movements. For example, people with Parkinson’s disease have slowness, stiffness, and shakiness. Some people have involuntary jerky body movements (tremor, chorea, myoclonus, tics, etc.). Others have abnormal body posture (dystonia) and stiffness (post-stroke spasticity). Some have difficulty in walking due to imbalance. These disorders are usually associated with complex issues and are very challenging to treat. They often require advanced treatment, such as Botulinum Neurotoxin Therapy and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery. He is Head of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Clinic at VINS.
